Not a single false note at this restaurant. Perfect from start to finish. The traditional cuisine is excellent and refined, with Asian touches that are undoubtedly 100% homemade. The waitress was extremely kind, exceptionally friendly, and knew the menu and dishes perfectly. The atmosphere is cozy in a beautiful cellar, one of many in Besançon. Just to nitpick a little (the Chef, by the way, honored us with a visit at the end of our meal – a rare moment worthy of fine dining): the vegetables accompanying the beautiful sea bream would have benefited from being served on a larger plate 😋 Thank you for this wonderful experience. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Besançon!

I loved discovering this restaurant and the exotic and original flavors of Chef Sylvain Piguet. But alas, he's no longer there. I didn't know, and now I understand why I was so disappointed. It's not the same cuisine; less subtlety and creativity in the flavors. What a shame! I'd love to relive those past culinary experiences. Perhaps it's not impossible?

We had lunch as a couple. The dishes were very good, with a clearly evident Thai influence. There was a lot of flavor and freshness on the plate, and the presentation was lovely. The service was efficient and friendly; you could tell they wanted to make the experience enjoyable. The only slight drawback was the terrace, which is very close to the traffic on Rue du Lycée. Overall, a very good experience.

Truly my favorite restaurant in Besançon, refined, tasty and original cuisine, attentive service, I recommend it a thousand times over!

The dishes are refined and made with excellent ingredients. The dining room is tastefully and thoughtfully decorated.

We came as a group of 13 (8 adults and 5 children) and had a wonderful time. The 8 adults each chose different dishes, and to our great surprise, everyone was delighted. When we first saw the menu, we were a little perplexed: some of the terms were quite technical, and we didn't really know what to expect. In the end, it was a very pleasant surprise. All the dishes were delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service was also excellent: a very friendly and humorous waiter, and a warm and welcoming owner who came to greet us and make sure everything was alright. The entire team was smiling, attentive, and offered excellent advice, both on the food and the wine selection. The setting is magnificent. We were seated in the charming vaulted room downstairs, with its beautiful exposed stonework and glass-fronted wine cellar, which adds a lot of character to the place. The only slight drawback was that the five children (aged 5 to 13) had a little more trouble finding a dish they liked. However, for the adults, it was flawless. We highly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return!

Tonight, I discovered LÔ Restaurant, a beautiful spot located in the heart of Besançon's city center, in a setting that showcases the city's traditional architecture. Everything I tasted was distinguished by its exquisite finesse. The cooking was perfectly executed, and the flavor combinations, both original and harmonious, gave each dish a unique character. The price-quality ratio is entirely justified given the quality of the ingredients, the generous portions, and the level of service, both in the kitchen and the dining room. The ambiance is one of the restaurant's true strengths. The vaulted cellar, with its stone arches and glass-fronted wine cellar, offers a charming setting and an almost timeless atmosphere. On sunny days, a terrace also allows you to enjoy the charm of Besançon's historic center. The service is warm, professional, and attentive. The staff is available, offers excellent advice, and is present throughout the meal without ever being intrusive. An excellent Besançon restaurant that I recommend to those seeking creative, refined, and flavorful cuisine in an elegant yet authentic setting.
